Blueair Blue 121 Non-HEPA Air Purifier Filter

54 Reviews
  • Our unique HEPASilent™ filtration technology allows our filters to be less dense. Less dense filters require less air pressure, resulting in quieter and more energy efficient air purifiers
  • The particle filter layer helps to minimize the airborne particles that can trigger allergy symptoms, including pollen, dust, mold spores, pet dander, viruses, bacteria, and fine smoke particles
  • In deodorization testing, the Blue Pure 121 Extra Protection Filter removed over 90% of airborne ammonia within one hour

$75.00

The Blue Pure 121 Particle and Activated Carbon Replacement Filter protects against both gaseous and particulate contaminates. An activated carbon mesh layer eliminates harmful gaseous pollutants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), tobacco smoke, and other odors. In addition, advanced polypropylene filter media removes particle pollutants down to 0.1 micron in size from your indoor air, such as pollen, dust, and pet dander. Using a 360-degree air intake and up to 4 times the filter surface area than competing replacement filters, the Blue Pure 121 Particle and Activated Carbon Filter lasts longer, on average from 6 months to a year. The click-and-change filter is easily removed and replaced, and can be put into recycling at the end of its service life.

  • This filter is recyclable, so the only thing you’re adding back into the environment is clean air. Please check your local recycling facilities for availability
  • To maintain optimum performance, we recommend changing your filter about once every 6-months when used 24 hours a day
  • The gradient filter structure traps even the smallest particles and resists clogging to maintain maximum airflow

I recently purchased 2 new Blue Pure 121 filters. So far so good. I splurged and ordered the ones with the carbon. I haven’t really noticed a huge difference from the ones without, but I did notice they are much heavier than the filters without the carbon. We have 4 kids and 3 cats and a dog, so I feel like they are doing something. I vacuum or wash the cloth prefilters once a week and they are usually pretty dusty. These filters are crazy expensive, especially when you replace 2 of them at a time. the high price was the reason I took off a star. But I can’t imagine the amount of dust and whatever else if we didn’t have them. Still not convinced if the carbon upgrade is worth the cost?

I have had a Blue Air for just over a year and just recently chose to upgrade to the particle filter w/Carbon filter. I had been using the one that came with the initial purchase. It worked great, I just wanted to try this other filter. We live in Mt, and our house has a wood stove as our heat source, so during winter the stove is always going. We also have 4pets, so we bought the Blue Air to help with dust, dirt, and pet hair. The upgrade to the higher filter had a noticeable change for our household as we run it 24/7. There are less particles and dust in our house.

Unfortunately now these filters come with an aweful toxic smell. It gave my wife a headache and was truly frustrating for me. If they could make again a filter that didn’t have a toxic smelling filter it would be a great product but at this point I am going to have to look into some alternatives for air filtration. I also would like it if the carbon portion of the filter was on the outside. This would decrease the potential of adding any elemental carbon into the air. This would make the filter similar to a carbon clean 16 filter for an Hvac which is a merv 16 filter.

Thank you for stocking this filter, the OEM wants you to sign up for auto-ship to get a discounted price. At I can order a replacement when I WANT ONE and not when the OEM says I need to replace.

I live in a city where the air is very dirty because my neighborhood is bordered by 3 major freeways.

Obviously, I don’t open my windows much, but after running my unit 24/7 for 6 months, I can’t believe how dirty my filter gets.

It was very dark black when I took the old filter out.

I am sure glad that the Blueair Pure 121 filtered out all of those particulates from my apartment.

I’m super happy with my Blueair 121 air filter it’s been great for allergies and a savior during the Northern California fires. I purchased the replacement filter now because I’m at the end of 5th month and expect to change it next month. Yellow change color hasn’t shown yet but will change it next month even if it doesn’t. Can’t review what it’s like to change but it looks easy.

I purchased my blueair 121 late December. Started using it in January and replaced the filter in May before the light indicator went on, to the upgraded version. It’s been about one month with the new filter and the light indicator is yellow. How can that be? The filter is new and the light never came on before. Even having the original filter for 5 months.

I used a couple less expensive replacement filters and they don’t really do that great. But I spent extra for the upgraded filter which was much more effective and after almost 3 years of continuous, 24 hr use it is working like new. I don’t trust the filter meter though. I’m on a fixed income and this is an expensive luxury but my health is a necessity

  9. Reno Fire

I purchased my Blueair air purifier to get ready for fire season in northern Nevada. While fire season has not started yet, I am very impressed with this machine’s ability to remove dust from the air, along with pet and cooking odors. Super quiet on low. We can watch TV with it on.

It’s a replacement filter. What can I say. It was easy to order and arrived promptly and intact. I installed it myself in less that a minute. It can be recycled which is good. It was expensive. With hazardous air quality from the wildfires in Northern California, it is much needed.

  11. Nam1

We try the regular filter and the more expensive Carbon fiber and there was no difference. We though it might help with after cocking food odor and help with dust .. but there was no different
