The photo shows mostly amber with white elements. It is actually more white with amber elements. In the morning, evening, or when it is cloudy the amber elements are best presented, however, even then the shingles look mostly white. Bright sunlight washes away most of the amber. If you want a mostly white roofing shingle, then this is the one for you. I have discovered that the best way to pick shingles is to take a few outside and place them together, in the bright sunlight, arranged the way you would if they were on the roof. That will give you a better idea of how it will look on your roof. Good luck!

I have to be honest, I would have liked to purchase a more expensive, higher end range hood that was quieter when turned up high, and had more variable settings, but I find the more high-end models to be downright ugly. My house was built in 1920, my kitchen is very small, and shaker style with lots of simple right angles. The other models of under-cabinet hoods had all sorts of rounded edges, they remind me of dolphin noses, and look horrible with the rest of the kitchen. So overall I sacrificed more versatility in function, for form- but the fan is still very functional, was easy to install. We are both really happy with it!

This was my first time roofing and I took on quite a project. I had to purchase 3 tab shingles for my ridges and the difference in quality between the two is astounding. I live in rural Kansas and we get tons of high wind. I haven’t seen these things flinch. I tried to pull one up after a day of being on and it was difficult enough that I didn’t worry about it. I could easily see these holding up in 100+ mph winds and lasting 20 years of extreme conditions. The only con is these things are stinkin heavy!!! I would much rather work a little harder and have a quality product in the long run.

I ordered this with the intent to connect with present duct work. But I did not realize (because the picture is so poor) that the cover over the front vent is a VERY CHEAP piece of ugly plastic that looks awful. So I returned it before ever installing. This may be fine if you are not using a duct, but my opinion is that it is quite ugly if you wish to connect to a duct.

I have worked on several fixer upper homes and have always used GAF Timberline shingles. I purchased Oakridge shingles for my latest project because that was what was in stock at the store. These shingles are good if your roofing schedule involves starting at dawn, getting off the roof as soon as the sun starts warming the shingles up, and not getting back up until the roof is shaded. As soon as these shingle start warming up, the asphalt oozes to the surface and every footstep leaves a nice black spot on the shingles surface. Additionally, the shingles are much flimsier than the Timberline and the edges are easily damaged by a soft soled shoe. I am just finishing the roof with these shingles and parts of the roof already look about 5 years old! I will never use these shingles again…very disappointed.

I have installed many shingle roofs over last 40 years. This random tab provides a lot of flexibility in installation, reduces waste, and has a great finished appearance
Huge advantage of the old fixed pattern shingles

This was an easy product to work with, won’t pretend that staging the product was for the faint of heart. But I am almost 60 and It was a surprisingly easy and fast install and beautiful when installation is complete. Already had two wind wind tests and a good amount of rain, couldn’t ask for a better product for the cost.

Bought 9 bundles to cover a ~16×16 shed roof and I’ll probably have about 1 to 1.5 bundles left over. The color in person is greyer than it looked online, but still a nice heavy shingle that installs fairly easily. Because they are architectural shingles, they can be a little hard to cut through the seam in the two layers, but multiple scoring cuts with a sharp razor gets the job done.
Check back in oh, 20 years or so and I’ll let you know how they’ve held up. 🙂

DO NOT get this product if you live in a high wind or hail prone area.
This roof was put on in February, 2016 and the following May we got a severe hail storm that damaged 50% of the new roof. There is no warranty coverage for hail damage.
