With padded red handles, this lopper is very comfortable to use. It is heavy duty, with strong performance. Loppers provide more leverage for dead or diseased branches, and we were able to remove many from our viburnum in front of our home very quickly.

The loppers make sharp cuts and clean cuts on the shrubbery, helping the bush to recover and therefore, decreasing the chance for disease to attack the plantings. I was impressed with the easy use.

This pair of loppers is very well constructed, heavy, and should last a lifetime with our typical yearly usage for our home garden. Corona is a very well known name brand, which I trust for solid performance.

The package is made to be 100% recycled.

With any forged steel tool I immediately look to see where they’re made. These lops state on the label the are assembled in Mexico from parts from the US, Mexico, Taiwan and China. I knew better and would bet anything this is Chinese steel and hence, garbage. Almost got one day out of these (see pics). Seen this same thing with other brands too ever since they all went the cheap manufacturing route. I should have just paid the money for true quality like I did with my axe and will be doing just that after I return these

When I first put my hands on this lopper, the word ‘professional’ came to mind. I tried it out on my neighbor’s crab apple tree (with their permission!) and my Rose of Sharon and it performed wonderfully well. I was especially pleased with the way it cut through the 2″ branches with ease. The only negative is the weight. Quality some times means heavy. There is a smaller Corona lopper that is lighter and has extendable handles that might be a better choice for those who need something lighter. I now have three Corona products and expect that I will be able to use them for many years to come. The Corona quality puts it at the top of the list for me!

These loppers are stout. I lopped off limbs up to 2 inches in diameter with no problem. I suspect these loppers will handle even bigger limbs for other folks who are younger and stronger.
The grips are comfortable. Gloves are not needed for most people. With a pair of gloves, I could work for a very long time without getting blisters.
These loppers would be great for clearing trails to deer stands and shooting lanes. I can lop limbs 10 feet off the ground while standing on the ground.
The loppers are much larger than my other loppers. My wife was able to handle the loppers without complaint but I could tell the loppers are too large for a petite female.

I moved into an older home where the grounds had been neglected for about five years. Many trees on the property needed serious attention. To start with, this lopper was sharp, solid, and put up with cutting through two inch branches with little issue. My only complaint is the need to open the arms to almost 165 degrees to fully open the jaws. This made it very difficult to get into tight spaces and put me up close and personal with the underbrush. Well made, but the compound lever design did not seem to really give me much more power than the standard loppers I have used. I would buy again if I needed another set.

I have had other loppers before, but they turned dull or bent and lost their scissor action. I never wanted to spend the money on a good tool. Now I have a really good garden tool that will actually cut a two inch diameter maple branch. I helped a neighbor clean up downed limbs from his yard and measured and tested the Corona Lopper on a two inch branch. It took some effort to cut through hardwood like maple but I did it, and the tool also survived. It’s still sharp as a razor and scissors like new. I give this a 5-star rating for value, design and durability, really a pro-quality tool.

Bought these loppers because they looked and felt heavy duty. Hated too pay $50 for loppers but the medium priced fiberglass handle types just don’t last. These were supposed to handle up to 2″ branches so I decided to start small and work up to what they could really do. The very first cut I tried to make was on a soft green branch about 3/4″ in diameter and the lopper jaws sprung slightly out of alignment and would not close completely. Could not believe they did not even complete one cut. Took them back to and got my money back. Resumed my search for some quality loppers if they exist.

I would have rated higher but do to surgery last year about the time I received this item discourages me some what. Removal of a pectoral muscle makes it difficult to cut above my shoulders. The lopper is sharp enough to easily cut. if you can get it into position. I am one that never give up so I will find a way to use this tool,it will just take a little long and not look real pretty.
Construction of this tool is every thing you could ever want. It will take a lot of abuse or a tractor trailer to destroy this tool.
I gave it an average for ease only because of my physical limitations.
It is worth the price to give you a long term tool.

what a piece of junk! This thing didnt last 3 minutes and was rendered useless by a tiny 1” tree I could have just kicked over.

I didnt even get a shot to really used them as i was just testing it before i put it up… straight back to it goes! What Junk!

I cut several boxwoods that were very near the reated size. Honestly, I expected a little better mechanical advantage. The lopper went through each piece without totally wearing me down. I have to give it the fifth star because it does exactly what is expected of it. (With more mechanical advantage, either the tool would need have handles travel more or the jaws not open as far. And, I can’t see how that would be realistic in either case. My reason for selecting this lopper was that it handled cutting the largest diameter of any competitor. Requiring the handles to move through more distance would require a handle/s in the middle, because handles at 180 degrees wouldn’t allow the function.

I cut two branches about 3/4” off a mountain-laurel. My next use was cutting a branch about 3/4” off of a ligustrum when the blade bound up with the hook and folded part of the edge over.

I had a tree I wanted to shape and grabbed these and headed out. WOW, I expected to put some effort into the cut but was really surprised by the ease these required. It claims that it will cut up to 2 inches. I am here to tell you it not only will do that, but with little effort. I took the largest branch and cranked down only to realize this cut thru with out the effort I put in. This tool works better than expected and made my day of pruning a breeze. Next time the wife tells me she wants some branches cleared I will grab this and smile knowing it will be a good day! Hope this helps.
