I call it a kaiser blade, mhm, one side sharp one sides duller mhm kinda shaped like a bananer. I reckon it’s a good blade mhm

My first job was with a surveyor cutting line. I used a bush axe daily and it was very well suited for clearing small trees, brush and weeds. I prefer that the head be attached via straps to the handle as I feel it would be more durable. But that style has now been discontinued. This appears to be a well made bush axe but I have not used it to date. The blade appears to be durable and is sharp. This product carries a 15 year warranty so I feel confident I will be able to get my money’s worth.
Shipment arrived before the scheduled date in good condition. I would recommend this product.

Bought it to make quicker work out of small brush up to 2” or so. Machete looked too tedious

Works fine and cleared a large area near a creek. The blades edge rolled on a few thicker trees around 2” in multiple spots…

Not the best durable edge… has a plastic coating over it… had to file it off to make it cut better.

Will have to grind out the rolls in the edge

But all in all it works pretty good. If the edge wasnt rolling it would be 5 stars

Some folks call it a sling blade but i call it a joe blade. It’s great for clearing brush, briars, bushes etc. Easy to handle. Keep it sharp with a file.

    I only have two gripes
#1 the overall length is too short I’m only 5’9 and find myself bending over too much to use it cut brush that is lower to the ground.

#2 the metal was way too soft, the edge would frequently dent severely hitting small saplings or branches that had fallen on the ground. I did a mild temper which hardened it enough, not sure if I got a bad blade but I guess you get what you pay for.

  6. bbrown

great tool to use, better than any thing to clear brush and small trees

  7. Garrett

Cuts down brush like I needed it to. A bit heavy to start the swing, but the weight helps it cleave through thicker shoots

  8. FarmBoy

Bought it to clear off ditch and road banks. I had used one as a kid that was much lighter. This one has a thick blade that was sharp upon arrival. It would work well for bushes but is too heavy to cut weeds and grass all day.
