Heavy duty hammer drill, with a keyless chuck. Comes with an extra battery, and seems very durable in my testing so far. Can do multiple speeds and torques, so can also be used as a cordless screwdriver. Has an LED work light that comes on when used. Comes with a nice canvas bag, and has a three year warranty.

This drill seemed to perform quite well, especially compared to other more expensive models. The speed and direction selectors were easy to manipulate, and seemed to better resist “accidental” bumping of the direction button. The clutch settings work great in materials and offer a good amount of adjustment. The drill also comes with a belt/pocket clip that can be mounted to either side, and can also accept an optional clip to mount to their versa-trak system for storage. There is a light mounted on the lower end of the drill, instead of below the chuck, which works great and is not blocked as easily.

The hammer function works well, thought note that the instruction manual recommends no larger than a 1/4″ carbide bit for masonry. Hole saw size is limited to 2″

Charging the batteries was very quick, 20-30 minutes each it seemed? And the charger can mount to the wall which is a plus.

It all came in and fits in a cloth/canvas bag, not very thick compared to others, but durable enough for normal use and storage.

This is an amazing drill set. Comes with two batteries, charger, and the carrying case. Have yet to use the drill but with the Craftsman name and a 3 year warranty I have no worries about this at all.

Ok… over the years (don’t ask how many… but lots!!) I’ve used a few different drill drivers. I even had a Makita 9.6V drill (yes that long ago) that I loved that finally died. I replaced it with a Porter-cable drill (don’t) and that didn’t even come close.
All that being said? This drill is amazing!! I love this thing!! It’s got a ton of power and it lasts and lasts! I’ve used it on several different projects and it’s still going. It’s got a light built in that allows you to actually “see” what you’re doing (what a concept right?). I’d give it more stars if I could!
Comes with two batteries, a carrying pouch, and a charger.
    Get one… you’ll love it.

Came with 2 batteries, charger, and bag. Fits in my hand very comfortably. Has a heavy feel to it – feels a little heavier than my other drills but I actually like that. Batteries charged in about 1 hour and they have a charge level indicator showing how much charge is left – really nice feature. Also has a belt hook but might be a bit heavy to hang on your belt. Has both standard and hammer drill features. The hammer drill option using a 1/8′ masonry bit went right through a cinder block and easily drilled a test hole in my concrete slab. minimal vibration and typical noise. Has a 2 speed feature as well. Drilling wood was not an issue and I ran a handful of drywall screws into some old 4x4s to test the various torque settings. Seems very powerful as it ran 2″ screws all the way in using max torque. Not sure how long the battery charge lasts yet -the thing still shows a full charge after my testing.

Like the title says…this is a very capable hammer drill and a nice price. Craftsman new lineup of V20 drills seem to really hit the mark. Proudly displaying “Made in USA w/global materials”. Comes with a charger and two 20V batteries along with a bag (that I never use). Also comes with a belt clip that can be assigned to either side of the drill. Feels very good in hand with nice weight.

Powerful compared to some of my other drills. Where some got hung up on things those was able to drill through. That was a big plus. Working the chuck to change bits was easy enough and had good grip. I have kind of been looking past Craftsman for awhile but this new lineup has caught my attention. his hammer drill will get a lot of work.

My wife picked this up for me as an early Christmas present. I put it strait to work after getting it. Has plenty of power and did wonderfully drilling 1/2in holes for cables to be routed. Two batteries are a plus. The canvas bag is nice for what it is, I wouldn’t load it down with to much weight.

This is very precise and powerful. I’m glad it’s a brushless motor and also made in USA. This replaces my previous 12V craftsman drill, which still works just fine, but can’t last as long on one charge. I purchased this without the battery because I already owned 2 batteries.

This product seems to have very good power. The drill charges quickly and comes with a great carrying case. The weight of the tool seems average for these type of tools. I will write another review once I use the tool for more projects.

I got this to replace a Ryobi 12V. The shear difference in power was amazing! I actually got it free with the purchase of a starter battery (2) and charger pack. I’ve had several brands, but never a brushless. I will update after i finish replacing all the boards on my porch and deck.

This drill does the trick! Bores right through brick and concrete like soft wood. I shoudl have gotten one of these years ago.

  12. Ande

I hang a lot of stuff on concrete walls. This drill gets the job done. I was hesitant to buy because the box said hammer drill only. After some research I realized it was both a hammer drill and conventional drill.

  13. Bremo

Great drill. I use for standard drilling, though hammer drill feature will no doubt come in handy when don’t want to pull out the big one. Being a combo standard and hammer, the motor is louder than my Bosch standard drill. It’s well made and I will pay more for a USA product.

  14. TucsonJoe

The Craftsman brushless hammer drill appears to have what is needed for drilling into concrete, block and other hard substances. The convenient use of a rechargeable battery makes the task easier since bulky power cords are now not required for those distance and hard to get to locations. Expect to have quick tasks done very quickly with this new hammer drill from Craftsman.

Nice tool with 2 batteries. Has lots of power and the locking chuck makes it easy to add/remove bits. Many torque levels which certainly helps stop from stripping out screws when used as a screwdriver. Could use an on frame bit holder. I found the belt hanger a but cumbersome and removed it after installation. For my use not really needed. Overall I really like the kit.

  30. Victor

Craftsman is doing a great job coming back with their new tools. This still has superb power and is very easy to use. Would definitely recommend!

  31. Nikki

For a female, this drill packs a punch and the battery has a long charge. When I let my husband use it he loved it. This is a great product for a very efficient price.

  32. NewBee

Love this drill. Light, compact. Comes with bag and two batteries. Plus a hammer drill function.

  33. Keoni

Battery charge lasts a long time, excellent for do-it-yourself jobs around the house.

  34. Kevin

Works spectacularly and the batteries on this model aren’t oversized. Great value.

  35. Gabe

Very powerful and it feels light. I like how it feels in my hand.

Had originally bought one a couple of months back at and the chuck failed to hold the bit. I gave it only 1 star and posted on this site but it never showed up. I took the drill into the store and exchanged in hopes that I had gotten a defective one which truly happened to be the case. The first drill would never tighten, the replacement actually ratchets down to where it holds the bits, including 1/16, very snugly and straight with no loosening. I was very pleased that it worked as this drill is a pleasure to use. Light weight, strong motor, and long lasting batteries.

  37. Bruce

Craftsman makes a solid product. But this did not work for me, I had to drill 24holes with a 3/8 3” bit. And before that I did preliminary holes. First problem, the batteries don’t last very long to begin with even after fully charged. 2nd problem is that it just seemed like this drill is not strong enough. I guess it works for small projects. I just didn’t expect mounting a pull up bar/ dip bar to be so difficult. I would still swear by craftsman products but this drill was not right for my project.

20V MAX* BRUSHLESS HAMMER DRILL KIT
The kit has a drill with POWER and lots of it and comes with a spare battery for those longer jobs.
The charger takes the battery from low to full in less than an hour, shouldn’t run out of power with normal use.
Light goes off after 20 secs unless the trigger is used.
When ordered I was looking for a high power drill, my regular drill has more features but this one has the power.
So much power it could be dangerous, lots of warnings in directions but having used old technology drills both electric and battery, it will take some time getting used to the power, surprised this model didn’t have a handle or even a place to screw one in.
This drill doesn’t have any magnetic spots to hold bits, a screwdriver bit built-in or a leveler, so to use it for an all-purpose drill the bag it comes in will have to carry the extra parts if needed, the old drill usually dropped the bits and I never used the leveler;) I will miss the screwdriver built in, but the extra power and battery will make up for it. One other good point is that the chuck can hold smaller drill bits than the old 3/8th even though this one
    has a 1/2 inch chuck.
Until I require more power I will keep the torc down for safety.

  39. Kev

Great drill has plenty of power for drilling into concrete.
