    D-Line Cable Floor Cover 30-Foot
This product comes rolled in a cardboard box and includes 1 30’ piece of cable floor cover and 2 “joining pins” about 3 ¼” long. This product was black with 2 yellow safety stripes on it for visibility. The shipping weight was 18 lbs.
It unrolled easily and (because it is a rubbery product) I checked for odors and found that there was no order at all from this. I then cut off a short piece using a razor blade cutter and it cut very easily. Vigorously rubbing the small piece on both a concrete floor and on carpet produced no marks whatsoever. I wanted to know as I will be using some of this on carpeting and did not want to have any marking.
The overall width is 3 1/ 4” and the height is 9/16”. Internally the cavity is 1 3/16” wide by 3/8” high. The cavity easily held 3 strands of standard 12-gauge commercial extension cords. My application was to conceal a 3/8” water tube from my dehumidifier to the drain. I was able easily insert the tube into the cavity. I found that the easiest way was to have the product upside down and to feed the tube into the cavity and then flip it over.
Two connector pins are included and are ¼” diameter by 3 ¾” long. They inserted easily and could also be removed without any tools. Multiple lengths of D-Link Cable Floor Cover can be connected together weather you cut one and reconnect it or add additional pieces together. Also, if you did not have enough connector pins, I am sure that a ¼” dowel or similar product would work for connecting multiple pieces together.
Once the floor cover was right side up it laid flat very quickly. Even the end that was the tightest coiled went down flat. It seems to be fairly “slide resistant” on the floor and stays in place.
Overall, this is a great product to use to remove tripping hazards in both homes and shops. This will have application for me on carpet with CAT-5 and also in my shops for extension cords and the dehumidifier drain tube.

This is one rugged, heavy-duty cord protector. I love it! I haven’t decided on its final resting place yet – there are so many places I could use it. The photo is a spot in my basement workshop where I have cords from a heater, a grinder, a band saw, a light and a vacuum. It easily takes 4 or 5 small to medium size cords. I’m also considering using it in my garage where I have a heavy duty 14 gauge cord running along the floor where it occasionally gets stepped on. The connectors that come with it allow you to connect two or more together for a longer run. It lies flat right from the start.

  4. J

High quality cord protector. This is a nice, soft and pliable material that sits flat on the floor easily. It’s large enough to conceal 3 – 16 gauge extension cords. It has a nice beveled edge, as detailed in the attached photos. It’s also made in the USA, which is a big surprise!.

  5. Johnny

I have used other floor cord protection In the past. However this is the first one I have found that will hold two #12 extension cords. This is so easy to use, the underside is split which makes it easy to put a cord or two in. The material is sturdy enough to roll my shop carts over the cords and cord protector without damage to the protector or the cords.

Safety is another factor where this cord protector stands out. The protector lays flat on the floor eliminating a trip and fall hazard. This protector is well worth the money. I would recommend this cord protector to anyone.

  6. Russell

This protector is wider than most. The material is flexible enough to lay down right out of the package. The groove is rectangle shaped for a larger capacity. The ends are linkable with the included pins so you can string these together for longer lengths. The black color hides dirt well. It is easy enough to insert the cords.

  7. RobH

The problem with most of these cord hiders is that they ship coiled up and won’t lay flat when you install them. Some have to use double-sided tape and may eventually flatten out but can be a trip hazard themselves until they settle in. Then the tape can ruin the carpet or floor. Not good.
Not this one. This is a superior product. Period.
It comes coiled up, but upon opening and laying flat, it stayed there and didn’t try to roll up again. It is very heavy and feels like quality rubber. It comes with extenders so you can hook several together if needed. It is great.
So, if you have to have a cord across a room or hall, this is a good option where the competitors are not really. I’d recommend this to anyone.
