I purchased the dewalt 3/8 xr brushless compact impact wrench with hog ring anvil dcf890B.this must have tool has a variable trigger so you can adjust the speed of tightening or loosning bolts or nuts this helps to prevent over tightening and runoffs. I use this impact every day all day in my shop and I’m telling you for smaller jobs needing around 150-200ft-lbs of torque.i really like dewalt tools not just because there cool but because when I get up to go to work I know that I’m gonna have the tools to get the job done and that’s what matters to me and dewalt has made my day at work more enjoyable and that’s hard to do lol.##dewaltforlife

I have had for only a short time. I have used this impact multiple times and it is just perfect for my needs. I use it for working on golf carts and other things mechanical. Perfect size and strength.

I hate this hog ring, most stupid idea anyone came up with. I use my Dewalt swivel bit on it and it wants to slide off. It’s hard to swap bits and it makes no since on how it could better than the ball bearing set up. Other than that I love using this drill for only sockets but god forbid using a Dewalt attachment with it. I also wonder how long the ring will last before it wears out

Life changing tool – would think long and hard about continuing as a mechanic without a quality 3/8 cordless impact. Lightweight, durable, and long battery life. Bought Apr 12th, 2017 and used daily.

This gun lacks power settings. The trigger controls how much power the gun puts into the job. If you are working with smaller items on a bench , you need to learn control of the trigger. Gun works well. It can remove lug nuts off a small car. My half ton truck it did not want to remove lug nuts. I have a half inch pneumatic gun for that. The impact’s weight is easy to use for an old guy like myself (retired mechanic) .. If this impact had 3 or 4 power settings it would be perfect for me..

  6. Jamjimjimmy

Did what it needed to do for my car project. Very disappointed in the packaging. It came in a 1/4” high impact box along with 1/4” manual. Found all that really odd. Have my doubts ordering tools again online at that price or the packaging.

I have always used Dewalt cordless tools. I have tried many other tools that are supposed to be on the same level as dewalt but nothing comes close. I also own the MAC version MCF891, yes the MAC costs more but I love them both equally. If you are on the fence about purchasing one of these, just do it. You will not be disappointed. I see a couple of negative reviews on here but it sounds like there problems could easily be resolved.

I purchased this with a little wonder. I had a 12v version and was not impressed, in fact I used my 20v impact driver instead of the 12v version. But I am a toolaholic, so I went for it. I have to say I was impressed the first time I used this gun. (only had it a couple weeks and don’t need it every day) It restored my hope in finding a good 3/8″ impact.

Picked this up for free with the 2 battery special. I already have a DeWalt 1/4 hex impact driver & with a 3/8 attachment & can use sockets with it but, since This was a free option I said why not cut out the middle man?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our men’s group mows a large acreage at our church. We do all the maintenance on the mowers and edgers. This is the handiest tool for changing blades, tires and overall repair work. Not super powerful, but more than adequate for this type of work. No problems whatsoever.

  12. RG 50

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had mine for over a year. Use it on my farm equipment, lawnmowers, and projects. Speeds up my work and less need for wrenches and ratchets. Most handy battery powered tool I own. Wanted the compact tool with 3/8 sockets but acts as if it’s a heaviier impact.

  13. Wade1

Probably the most used tool I own! Love the compact size of this thing! Not overly powerful but more than the little impact driver. Great for small mechanical jobs and excellent for driving 3-6” lags too.

I purchased this tool back in December 2021, doesn’t have near the torque i need for most my projects, batteries dont hold a good charge either, but all in all, its a useless tool i have now

  15. Jfk1962

Trust me when we tell you that the sockets will get stuck on and when trying to get it off, the hog ring will come with it and it will never hold a socket there after.

I’ve had this lil impact for a few months now and it exceeds my expectations. Great torque, love the finger trigger speed control. It just works well.

  20. Smokey77840

Very handy tool, the hog ring anvil is a joke. My impact only torques down to 50 ft lbs.

  21. Danstool33

I use this tool on a daily basics as I am a truck driver it helps me wind my straps up

  22. Jakster
