Good food starts with good preparation and if that preparation is easy than it taste better just like restaurants. Making veggie sandwich is now much comfortable for me as I get precise cut in minutes. I made cookie dough for my daughters to try baking and was quite okay. I wish the chute would’ve been bit more wider as I don’t need to pre-cut certain big veggies. But the extra dripping hole in chute makes it more comfortable while making dough, can be also used to separate egg yolk.

I’ve owned 3 food processors before & this one is the best by far. It has many different functions & it’s simple to use. Has low, high, & pulse speeds. Easy to clean and dish washer safe. The base has rubber feet so it doesn’t slide on me while I’m running it. This processor will knead dough, slice, chop, puree, grate, shred, & French fry cut.
I would recommend getting the accessories kit along with this food processor to maximize all of it’s capabilities. A great safety feature is that this processor will automatically shut off to prevent it from overeating. Love this food processor.

  3. Schtroumpfette

Our mini food processor stopped working so we decided to upgrade and got this GE 12-Cup Food Processor which is humongous compared to our mini one.

Out of the box, the machine is nicely made. Stainless steel at the bottom and plastic at the top which I read is much better because the powerful motor could break the jar if it was made with glass.

The 12-cup capacity is so nice as we no longer have to do multiple batch when we grind meat.

The machine also comes with a tube feed and accessories such as a slicing disk which is very convenient.

When it comes to performance, the performance of the motor of this full size processor is night and day compared to our mini one. It is so much faster thanks to the 550-Watt motor.
As for cleaning, it was very easy as the blades and container are both quite big so it was easy to wash and rinse.

All in all, this is an excellent food processor, we can never go back to a smaller size one and will give this beast a perfect 5 stars rating.

This is one of the new line of small appliances introduced since GE Appliances became part or Haier.
It has a rather large bowl compared to other food processors we used before.
The bowl is sealed, with only a small attachments port on the center. It does not have the large column in the center like many other food processors, making it easier to clean and no spills.

The base is even wider than the bowl. The bowl has a lip on its base that covers where it meets the base, to cover potential spills.
Instead of rubber feet, it has four small suction cups, so the base that although is large but lightweight, stays firmly put in place.
There is a single knob with pulse mode to the left and two speeds to the right. That’s it. Doesn’t get simpler than this.

It comes with a chopping blade, which is very sharp, and two slicing disks.
The slicing disks are all metal, with a slicing blade on one side, and flipping it has two sections of shredding cutouts. One disk is for thin slices/shredding and the other for medium. The disks are about 1 inch or so shorter than the bowl.

The motor, although light, is rated for 550W, which is plenty.

It seems well built with a pleasing stainless steel cladding on the base.
Also I like that the piece that pushes the food through the slicer/shredder has two parts inside one another; so for example, leaving the wider part in as a cover it can be feed a carrot through the smaller opening slicing it straight.

It’s easy to clean and very simple to use. We’re happy with this appliance.

This food processor is easy to assemble and operate. It can Slice, Shread and Puree most fruits, vegetables, cheeses, etc. fairly easily. It’s a little noisy but hey… it’s a food processor so I’d expect that. It has protection safety features that prevent it from operating if it’s not totally latched together properly. It comes with 1 Pureeing attachment and 2 Slicing/Shreading attachments. All in all, it does the job it was designed to do effortlessly and efficiently. The only drawback I could see was it should have a pouring spout built into the food reservoir for dispensing puree’d foods.

  6. Patjg

The food processor bowl says it holds 10 cups, so not sure why it is described as 12 cups, but no matter, it’s plenty large for anything I would ever use it for. I did use this for shredding cheese and chopping vegetables and it worked great, nice sharp blade. Easy to use with the large cute opening. I like that the shredding blades are reversible so I don’t have to store so many blades. This has plenty of power for anything you need to chop, shred, or dice. I found that freezing the cheese for 15 minutes before shredding it made it much easier to shred. All in all, this does everything my old food processor did and it’s a keeper.

  7. Sdiwan

I’m glad to have this food processor on kitchen countertop. preparing food for a large number of people has become quite helpful specially when it comes to Salad bar or making cookie dough. Easy to handle with different speed variances. Fitting in parts together is easy my kids can also handle it well. Well thought on little holes in chute to add extra water or oil while processor is running without opening the cover. Multiple blades make it versatile for many uses. It very important to follow the instruction supplied by the manufacturer as a safety precaution.

  8. Dwark952

This appliance makes a great kitchen helper and saves a lot of time preparing healthy meals. Slicing and shredding happens quickly with uniform results. Perfect for stir frying. Easy to clean. Has low, high and pulse settings. Large enough for most jobs. I have found so many uses for this in my daily meals.

  9. Vee1234

This is one of the best food processor’s that I have
used. It’s 12 cups which holds and processes alot of things at time. The different settings on it are awesome. First thing I used it for was to make hummus and it turned out perfect. Definetly something I will use year round.

  10. Anonymous

This is a great product — well made, powerful motor, beautiful finishing, and simplified controls. The 12-cup capacity is great for preparing meals for the family. I think this food processor is going to last for a good while on my countertop!

  11. Meenu

Just bought this food processor 2 months ago and I’m already in love with it. Works great and has nice features. Chops the meat and veggies perfectly

  12. Allman

I got this last week and I love it! I wanted to see how it worked with making homemade noodles! This makes life so much easier now! The mixing use to hurt my hands! This thing is great there are so many different things I can do with it! Slicing potatoes now is a breeze also! So many different things I can do with this! I also made salsa with it! Locking lid is great also, don’t have to worry about stuff flying everywhere now! And it’s a really nice big size bowl 12 cups which gives me plenty of room to add more when I’m making dips too!

  13. Mpnn

First, there are no instructions for use. There is no explanation as to what the differences are between the two disks. It does not explain how to assemble the attachments.
Second, still having a post in the middle makes it difficult to scrape clean.
Third, having a larger bowl does not allow for larger quantities to be chopped evenly the way it should, you need to still do multiple small batches.
Fourth, the food opening is not large enough even for a whole potato let alone anything bigger to slice. Although it does have a smaller whole for smaller items, that hole too is not of much benefit and often just gets in the way.

  14. Patjg

I received this GE 12-cup food processor to try out and review. I used each blade by shredding some cheese and it worked great. I like to freeze my cheese for 15 minutes before shredding to help it shred evenly. I used the chopper blade when I chopped some nuts to make banana bread, then I used the same blade to mix a batch of banana bread. It didn’t take much to quickly mix up the batter. I like the clear plastic bowl so I can see easily what I am doing while mixing. I was able to put everything in dishwasher for easy cleanup. It’s a great looking machine to boot, if I had room, I would leave it out on my countertop.

  15. ME_from_Bos

This large capacity food processor has a deceivingly small footprint, and is super simple to use. When looking for a food processor, you really only need two speed settings and pulse action. My old food processor was not only less than half the capacity of this, but also had multiple preset speed settings which I very rarely used.

In addition to size and operation, the single piece sealed work-bowl keeps all potential messes inside the unit. I made many a mess when a liquid based sauce spilled over the blade unit leaking out the middle shaft of my old processor.

For a GE brand appliance, the price of this little unit cannot be beat either. Couldn’t recommend this more!

  16. Corrina47

Wow. I absolutely love this GE 12 cup food processor. The day I got it, I used and it works great. It has multi functions, it makes preparing my meals so much easier and cuts my time preparing my foods in half. Compared to other food processors I’ve used in the past, the GE 12 cup food processor works so much better. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to purchasing a new food processor, you’ll be happy.

  17. Lovepo

I loved the GE 12 Cup processor because it worked fine and did exactly how I wanted it to work. I shredded carrots to make a home made Carrot Cake. The processor is the best !! I also made my homemade cole slaw last night and it turned out perfect! I highly suggest this product!!

  18. paujos

I read so many reviews about various food processors and it was a hard decision. I chose GE, particularly, because it was designed by USA engineers. It does a great job. I use it for grating potatoes, cheese, and making dip. It works perfect for my needs.

  19. Riderswild76

Great 12 cup food processor. It is easy to use and clean up. The base is stainless steel and sturdy, with a spot on the bottom to wrap the cord for storage. Comes with a chopping blade and 2 discs, one for fine shredding and slicing and another for medium shredding and slicing. 12 cup bowl is big enough for a large family. Simple knob allows you to easily switch between 3 speeds. It also has a large feeder tube for big items and a smaller one that is perfect for liquids.

  20. ChristineYogini

Even though it has a larger capacity than my previous food processor, I can’t fill it as full. It is not thorough and the blades seem too small and spaced too far apart. I can’t get as smooth a consistency, either. It’s louder and takes longer. The old one lasted 10 years and came with all kinds of useful accessories. This one didn’t even come with a scraper that was designed to work with it. I have to use the old one. All-in-all, I doubt I will have this for 10 years.

  21. Gabby16

I have had several food processors, but the GE 12-cup food processor is the best one. With 2 speeds and a pulse setting, it is easy to use. I especially like the two specialty discs. The appliance is great for chopping raw vegetables and slicing hard cheese. I use a lot of vegetables so this food processor comes in handy. My only complaint is…it is too tall for under my kitchen cabinets and doesn’t fit in any of the cabinets. Overall, I recommend this product.

  22. IDhampster

This GE Food processor looks great in my kitchen, with it’s Stainless Steel look. I was looking for something to replace my 10 year old food processor, and the look and features of this Food Processor matched exactly what I was looking for. It feels solid and has all the attachments I need. I have used it now a few times, and it is powerful and performed great! It was easy to clean up too! I feel this will be a great addition to my kitchen for years to come.

  23. Sfeb

I haven’t used it enough to rate every feature but it’s very easy to put together and use for basic chopping. There’s no big clunky chute on top that just gets in the way like some others. It’s very light weight which makes it easy to handle and clean. I’m just hoping it will hold up to heavy mixing and chopping because it is a light weight material. That’s why I didn’t give 5 stars right now. If it can handle the heavier usage I will absolutely love it!

  24. HB67

This 12-cup food processor is excellent for large jobs, I really liked the large cup that can hold a large amount of chopped vegetables or food. It was nice to have two different blades for various chopping styles depending on what I was preparing. There are various levels of speed to switch to depending on your needs. Extremely easy to use, clean and store in my cabinet after usage. Overall I was very pleased with the GE 12 cup food processor.

  25. EEVV

I would first say that this food processor feels light and cheap compared to the cost. Everything is essentially plastic. The unit worked fine for 3 months, but the motor got stripped when I tried to grate cheese for the first time. It was a firm cheese, but nothing exceedingly hard. Now it is useless as it stops when it encounters the smallest amount of resistance. I’m not a negative review writer, but this was definitely a waste of money.
