  1. None for this

I purchased almost two years ago; bought two: one for plumber to install in rental, and one for here. with frostbitten toe and very cold weather I decided it was best use of time to finally install. the long, very flexible stainless steel supply lines are fantastic since there is a shelf in the cabinet and miserable access. Bless the person who decided on them. the tree piece securing hardware needs to be made into one piece; with only one hand access I had to duck tape the ”U” channel in place and then reach in with the tube and nut. As BDI instructor in DFMA I can assure you they can easily be combined

bot the ca87526 kitchen faucet it was chrome plated plastic , the hose fittings where to small my shut-off,s are 1/2″ had to by adapters , Faucet and Face plate would not tightened down to sink was wobbly had to by 2 large washers and drill them out on a drill-pres to make them fit , face plate still not watertight had to by a tube of silicon to seal

should have adapters , spacers and caulking included

I just installed Moen CA87526 Kitchen Faucet. It looks good and works fine. Had to replace a Moen Faucet whose main swivel pipe corroded through the side spraying randomly around the kitchen. I’ll have to use the new one for 30 years to see if it lasts as long as the old one.

Installation was straight forward. Requires only a crescent wrench. However, the supply lines that come with the new unit didn’t fit my supply shut off fittings. Had to run back to the hardware store to get 2 new ones. It would have been useful to have printed on the box the plumbing requirements for successful hook up.

  4. TIMO

I originally built my home myself in 2006. In 2012 I found the original Moen unit I installed was beginning to leak around the swivel area of the neck. In mid 2012 I replaced that unit with the ADLER series which is a mid range in inexpensive unit in the $112. dollar range..
Believe it or not like the 1st unit the 2nd replacement unit is failing just after 6-8 months on the job?
The neck of the Adler series (replacement 2nd series) is actually leaking through the metal itself. The problem lies squarely in the metal being porous along the entire neck of the ADLER. It is actually bleeding right through the metal and the chrome. It runs about 6-8 inches along the underneath of the neck itself.
That’s it folks, Forewarned is forearmed!

I can only speak to packaging and installation as I just purchased and installed my faucet yesterday but in those two areas it is a superior product. I hate laying on my back under a kitchen sink but the installation of my faucet went very smoothly, well packaged, well designed, hopefully just as well made. Only time well tell but from reputation and from the feel of the faucet I am hopeful. Too early to rate higher than four.

  6. value seeker

This item is a good value offering the traditional Moen quality. Installation is easy and the faucet came with pre-installed steel-braided high pressure hoses on the center post. The installation instructions are minimal (although obvious) but were silent on the need or desire for placing sealant between the faucet gasket and the sink. I did not put any on, and the provided (dry) gasket seems to be doing the job so far.

Finally, a faucet that doesn’t leak. The appearance is modest, but sastisfying. Ready water with the flick of the lever, and no drips, with a downward turn. I’m happy. The price was right, too, and my plumber recommended MOEN. Now I never need worry about my previous dripping faucet, and look forward to washing dishes.

  8. Stuart

So far so good. Easy to install except that the spanner bars to help secure the faucet in the holes in the top of the sink were barely long enough. This made it difficult for a bit. I have an older sink but so do many other people. The quality seems good and I liked the generous length on the supply lines. Thanks.

My plumber told me my old faucet (at least 30 years old) would need to be replaced and only recommended Moen. I bought a basic faucet for my old 44 year old sink. It has perked up my kitchen. It came with long enough hose/lines so my plumber didn’t have to add to them. He was happy, I am very happy. Thank you.

Replaced my old Moen kitchen faucet with the Alder CA87526 because it is very close to the one I had. My old one was 32 years old and started to leak a little. I figured instead of fixing the leak, I’ll just replace it. Should be good for another 31 years.

This is a good choice if you’re looking for a basic, no-frills faucet. I wouldn’t consider it heavy-duty in its construction but it’s not flimsy either so I would categorize as middle-of-the-road in build quality. Simple to install and a good value.

  12. Verbalobe

the biggest problems I had were:
    – removing the old, corroded unit
    – adapting the line connections to my out-dated piping.

Once I figured all that out, installing the new faucet was a dream, and I was done and cleaned up in no time. Works great.

The Moen lifetime warranty is not hype. I recently requested replacement parts for my kitchen faucet and the service representative was responsive in a commendable manner. The replacement item was received promptly. I could not be more satisfied.

  14. ddrilli

If it hadn’t been the fact that I had to change out the shut-off valves (old school gate valves and not compatible with the supply lines) this would have been a snap! This replaced a Moen that we had for over 12 years…so…good deal there…
