Very easy to install but cumbersome to operate…you have to push multiple buttons multiple times just to turn the fan on or off…timer controls are programmed for odd intervals…adding a simple on/off command would be an improvement…that said, the simple, wireless installation nearly offsets the clunky timer operation

I got this along with our new whole house fan. This was easy to wire and works well and it saves you from having to run electrical through your walls. I gave it four stars because it is not quite as reactive as i thought it would be (the fan takes about 6 seconds to respond to pressing the buttons).

  3. Rtrt

Easy to set up and pair to the fan. No running wires to a switch was lovely, and the remote knows my fan only has two speeds, so the medium speed will never get selected.

  4. Jason

Very easy to install and sync with the remote. Only complaint is the remote doesn’t have a simple on/off button. The timer button must be pressed multiple times to turn the fan off. Overall happy with the product, seems very reliable.

  5. BryanS

Wireless remote for the Quietcool fan. It is wall mountable and easily removed to be taken anywhere as a remote.
Typical timer switch with selectable hours as well as an always on and off mode.

I wish there was some kind of a delay start mode so I can have it kick on after a few hours for those nights where temps don’t drop low enough until 10 or 11pm.
Would also be nice to have the option to have it run in Hi for an hour then automatically drop to a different speed.

  6. Drusty

Fairly easy to install with remote accessory, pretty quiet and effective

  7. JCP1964

This remote made the wiring of my fan a breeze and gives you good control of the fan. The only issue I encountered was mounting the control on the fan, which was clearly designed to replace the wiring box that comes on the fan but the instructions don’t tell you that. The pairing with the remote was also different than the instructions and took a number of tries to get it to work (which I didn’t need while standing in a dark, hot attic).

  8. Some where some how

Was very happy on how easy this controller was to install. Just basic wiring skills is needed. Instruction document very clear.

Works great, glad I didn’t need to run wire down to another gang box.

You can get the medium speed if you run a wire(14 gauge) to the yellow wire that was cut short on the fan and follow the dips for the pro model diagram.

    Highly recommend

  9. zphh

Definitely a nice addition to the fan. This is the best route to go, unless you want to route a new wire in your wall. I read that one person installed a smart plug in his attic, and plugged the unit into that. That might be a better option for some.

  10. 724guy

Easy to follow instructions. Just make sure your switches are correct. The remote pairs with no problem. I recommend doing the wiring and remote pairing before going into the attic.

  11. Nope

Sold as an add on to my purchase and does not work together! Better think about bundles and which of your products that actually work together! These are not inexpensive.

  12. Cool guy

Easy to install. However install before you haul the fan into the attic. Love the power and noise level of the energy efficient 3100

  13. BAAA

Well once I got the directions in my hands, it was easy. Tested on the floor before installing in the HOT attic.

  14. Donethat

Followed directions. Works Great. Saves switch wiring project. Worth it!!

  15. jacques

A must have for the fan unit. Easy to follow directions and easy to install.
