This underlayment is easy to put down and is quiet and helps to insulate your floor as advertised. What they don’t tell you is that the product smells very strong!! While installing I opened all the windows for ventilation even though it was cold outside but I still got sick from the chemical fumes emanating from the material its made of. I had to close off the room from the rest of the house and keep the open windows open to air out and allow the product to “gas off” for several days. The chemical fumes smell a lot like model airplane glue. If you have chemical sensitivities as I do I would beware of this.

Easy to work with, and the 3mm thickness ideal as underlay for carpeting interior of my ’73 MG Midget.

have installed this underlayment in one of my apartment I i can notice in lower apartment noise is cut down for more then 60% then regular one, in order to get regular one the same effect I usually instal the cardboard then regular white underlayment and noise was manageable in the unite below, what i’m trying to say this underlayment is perfect for upstair units and i see the benefits for condominium usage also it does have the water barrier installed on it which will protect your engineered hardwood floor it will minimise the expansion do to moisture coming out of concrete, and it will eliminate squeaky floors I reay like this product.

Just finished putting this stuff down in a room. Rolled out easy, looks like it’s going to be a nice underlayment. One thing that doesn’t come across when looking at it on-line – there’s an adhesive strip on one side of the pad and a plastic flange on the other to help tape the pieces together when your installing the underlayment. You should still get some underlayment tape for doing end joints (if you have them) or when you start using remnants. All in all this seems to be a good product.

This was the first time using this underlayment; it’s much sturdier and thicker than some of the other underlayment that I’m accustomed to using. The side that rests on the concrete reminds me of carpet padding, just not as spongy. The side that the flooring rests on is an orange, rubber-like coating. I did notice a slight odor when rolling out the underlayment; however this smell quickly dissipated within a couple a minutes. I didn’t have problems cutting the material to size or marking with a permanent marker. I used duct tape to bind the seams together as indicated on the instructions on the back of the roll overall this product met all expectations

We have purchased this before a longtime ago f to m a different store. It the stuff we had before survived a basement flooding and dried in a day. Needless to say we bought more to finish up our basement now that we have run out.

I’ve used this product in the past and it’s held up well . 11 years later it looks just like the new stuff I just got for the new room.

I’m getting ready to upgrade my floors and I think I found the right solution with this underlayment. So far it’s looking great and seems sturdy while also thin. I’ve cut out a test piece and it’s held up very well so far.

    Easy to install

  10. Shopper

Quiet walk was easy to install because of the overlapping plastic and attached adhesive strip. Once the floor was over the underpayment, everything was extremely quiet and comfortable to walk on. I would recommend this product over the brittle aluminum underlayment that sells for almost twice as much.

This is going down easy and will be great under my new laminate flooring.

It was “Quiet-It” an experience using this stuff,,, It really Floored me to roll this out and staple it down,,,,
It more or less “decked “ me to get it done and get the Lament Flooring installed.

I installed radiant floor heat above underlayment and LVT above that and so far has worked great. Plenty of heat transferred to the vinyl tile.

I found it fairly easy to work with and seems to do what it is suppose to. There isn’t much to say other than it was a little harder to cut than another brand I used (not terribly bad though, so depending on the price I would still buy this). It made my floor quiet compared to not having this but make sure to put down the correct way, not sure how much of a difference it would make but follow the directions or you might end up wasting your money.

Easy to install and it is a quiet walk. Definitely feels better! But hard to cut.

I ended up installing this in my bedroom closet, it’s a little thinner than I anticipated but it does the job. I found it to be very easy to install under new carpet that I put in as well. It is much more quiet now compared to just normal carpet. I had just wood floors in my walk in closet previously but this was a nice addition with the new carpet.

this quietwalk acoustical underlayment is great for keeping the floor quieter, also stabilizing the flooring so it has a lil more room has been so much warmers since installing and no vapors seep from under the house into my bedroom.very nice thick material and well worth the price, will only use this from now on!

Talk about quiet. I got this two nights ago and installed tonight. I immediately notice a difference in the amount of sound in this 20 x 20ft room. Its quiet and so relaxing. Not to mention the floor with this padding is amazing! So soft and plush. I am in love with the feeling I get when walking on this floor. Great product.

Ok, so I didn’t really use this as a true “underlayment”. I have it in the hallway on top of my wood floors with a rug on top of that, but it seems to be doing a wonderful job dampening the creaky floorboards that are in the hallway. This is great, because my toddlers can’t hear me walking by their room anymore!
