The Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw is the solution to the problem of having to take materials back to the workshop to cut them, and then bring them back to the job site later on. If you’re a contractor, you know that that process can add an entire day to a project. The BladeRunner is only 15 lbs, so while stable and sturdy, it’s easy to toss in the back of the truck. And with a footprint of only 15.75” x 17”, it doesn’t take up an entire workbench like traditional table saws. The hold-down guard and splitter allow for work with wider materials, and a larger rip fence than other portable table saws provides better control and accurate cuts. A no-load speed of 3000/min, a stroke length of 0.75”, with 5.5 amps of power gives it the capacity for light to moderate cutting of wood (up to 1-1/2”), ceramic tile (3/8”), PVC pipe (1-1/4”), aluminum (3/8”), and steel (1/8”). (Anything over 1-1/2” and you’re probably going to need a traditional, permanently fixed tabletop saw—but you can’t take that to the job site.) The blades change out almost instantly, in under 3 seconds once you get the hang of the tool-less blade change system. And the saw is protected by a Rockwell 3-year limited warranty, so you know they stand behind their tools.

  • [ON-BOARD ACCESSORY STORAGE] When the miter gauge, rip fence, and extra blades aren’t in use they can be conveniently housed in the base of the saw
  • [SAFETY SWITCH] Prevents accidental starting, plus the vacuum port lets you hook up a shop vac that cleans while you cut
  • [SPACIOUS] 15.75-In L x 17-in W tabletop offers plenty of workspace
  • [SETS UP IN SECONDS] Take this table saw to the job site or move it around the workshop. There’s even a built-in carry handle
  • [SUPERIOR CONTROL] Stainless steel cutting zone offers better control when cutting tile

this tool has enough grunt to get the job done and is relatively small enough in size to go on worktable. I replaced my promax 4″ and 2″ tables saws with this one Bladerunner and I am glad I did

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife knew I had been wanting the BladeRunner for awhile so she surprised me with one for Christmas and the day after Christmas I made a little table for it so I could clamp it in the Jawstand XP or Jawhorse Sheetmaster that she got for me last Christmas. I just finished my first project with it a bridge for a Ho scale train layout made of 1/4″ poplar Square stock and was able to do all the cutting in the house thanks to the shop-vac hookup on the saw. I would definitely recommend the BladeRunner I have cut just about everything with it except tile and I don’t have any complaints with it.

Hello Rockwell & public…I’m Travis & I purchased this saw after seeing the commercial…Wow this little saw is the truth!!!…light weight and its like scribing with a pencil…smooth cuts & very reliable…only draw back to me is I wish they add a light near the cutting area & add rubber feet so it want move while cutting. One more thing would be nice is to high light the table scale…more visible to set your fence by….overall I really love this saw. *( pics are my partner Eric in action )*

I bought this yesterday trying to save a few dollars on a real table saw. Big mistake. First of all, the saw I bought was used. It was covered in sawdust already and the blades were worn. Both photos were the saw right out of the box. That made me pretty angry to begin with but I figured I might as well try it now. I tried to rip a 2×6 long ways. I used both “wood” blades and it made it about 1 inch into the board before it stopped completely. I’m sure it might cut half inch plywood great but it is not good for ripping like a table saw. Save yourself the head ache and spend another $100 for a real saw.

I was finishing up on laying laminate flooring in a bedroom of my home. I was using a sliding miter saw to do most of the cuts until I needed to cut around door trim. I tried several things make the cuts short of having to reset to a coping saw. As I looked online, I came across this tool which is probably the best low cost and lightweight I have ever purchased. This thing rips, makes cross-cuts, and can make precise cuts or scroll cuts with ease all without swapping equipment. I was skeptical about the jig saw blade doing all the work but I was really surprised at its performance. Keep the innovation coming Rockwell.

The BladeRunner X2 is such an important and unique tool to me that after buying and using one for four full days of work, I purchased a second one as a backup. For me the ability to have a table top saw that can cut so many different materials which is less than 15 lbs making it so easy to transport is a game changer. I no longer need to transport a 45 lb plus jobsite table saw around. Although it is light in weight, it has been a true workhorse for me. I have used it regularly for almost a year and a half for big and small jobs. From rebuilding two sheds, to making a slop sink surround, ripping plywood, cutting trim boards, PT lumber, ceramic tile, and wood flooring, etc, this light weight wonder has never let me down. While I own two of them, other than as an extra saw for my workshop at home, the first BladeRunner X2 has done the bulk of the work and is still going strong. I depend on my BladeRunner X2 so much that I do not know how I would accomplish my work so efficiently without one.

This is a poor mans table saw. It is basically an upside down jigsaw mounted to a small, plastic table. If you keep in mind what it is it can serve you well. First thing you need to do is chuck the included blades and get some quality blades – Bosch , Lenox, or Dewalt. As this is a jigsaw you can’t force the wood through like it is a conventional table saw as you’ll likely cause the blade to flex and get a bad cut. The blade guard is poorly designed and makes this more difficult to use than it needs to be. If you lack the room for a conventional table saw this will work if you have the patience.
