I bought these as a backup energy source for my two stage Snow Joe. The original set were good, but this winter was terrible with both heavy snow, and ice. Yes, these new set does outlast the original set by a good 10 minutes. I managed to get the second set using a promotional sale, but the total still came to half of what I paid for the Snow Joe. If you need to have more power available to finish a job quickly then this is the way to go, otherwise you will have to wait for the batteries to recharge. With quickly, ever-changing weather conditions, that may not be an option for some. You need to carefully weigh the need, versus the wait on this one. With a gas powered snow thrower you can simply refill and continue.

The battery worked well for my small yard for 1 season. This is the second time I have to replace the battery at the beginning of a new season. The first time the battery sat all winter without being charged. It charged at the beginning of the season but did not work. I bought a new battery. When the season was over, I charged the battery periodically during the winter, but the same thing has happened. The battery charges but does not work. The batteries are expensive to have to keep replacing each season

The battery works great. The original one started to die after 3.5 winters and this one really picks upp

I ordered this after Seattle’s largest snow storm in decades. I re-injured a bad back shoveling 14 Plus inches of snow.
Less than 2 weeks after receiving the Snow Joe we had about 2 inches of wet snow. It did clear the snow but not as well as I expected. Most of the time it would only blow the snow 12 to 18 inches so I ended up mowing the same snow multiple times to clear the driveway. I returned it today. I am considering a more powerful model.

Bought a back up battery for these Wisconsin snow storms. The battery lasts pretty long about 35-40 minutes with a 2-4 inch wet snow to go through. This snowblower was bought for my 78 year mother who’s very independent but didn’t like a gas snowblower. Have this a try and she loves it. She wanted the back up battery so she could help her neighbor out with the same size driveway. Highly recommend this system

It would be much better if the battery incorporated a fuse switch that could be manually reset similar to how a GFI electrical outlet works. The current design incorporates a hard wired fuse (soldered in place) that blows when the battery is drained. The repair is costly, complicated requiring special tools best done by a professional repair shop.

This snow blower blowed me away and this is no joke I have a gas powered snow blower it is bulky sometimes hard to start and heavy the snow joe is light that my wife used it. With the battery installed it did the job this last snow storm

  8. Grandavi

I bought this right after getting the Snow Joe snowblower. Oddly enough, this outperforms the battery that came with the initial purchase. It is rather pricey, though, considering the cost of the thrower…

  9. Slaid99

Bought this because it there should be two batteries from the start (the manufacturer should have that as an option… this was expensive!!!).
Ran longer than the one that came with the snow thrower.

Easy to use. I used it today for the first time. Quite easy to use actually.
My husband is the one who usually uses it. The size of our driveway, we needed two sets of batteries. Can be expensive!

The snow-Joe power shovel works great and is a lot less work in clearing decks side walks etc. than old hand snow shovel . At 74 keep me from over working the old ticker so I can see 75

In the winter we can easliy clear our good sized driveway using the iOn 20″ snowblower and in the summer, we have no problems mowing our good sized front and back yards as well.

I bought an extra for the snow blower but the battery we used lasted for all tat we had done. We probably will get something else to use this on as well

Takes a long time to fully recharge and that full hours usage must have been on a drive with 1 inch of snow. Central NY gets more than that
