The Worx Nitro WX272L 20V Power Share 1/2” Cordless Impact Wrench with Brushless Motor is part of the Nitro Series of tools, designed for more power and run time than typical battery-powered tools. This Nitro Impact Wrench has more portability and maneuverability than traditional pneumatic impact wrenches, because it’s lighter, compact, and you don’t have to carry a hose along with it. Plus, it’s quieter than pneumatic wrenches. 3 speeds give the user the flexibility to find the right rotational speed and torque for a wide variety of jobs. (0-1300/0-2200/0-2900 RPM, 0-2000/0-3200/0-3600 BPM, and 222 ft.-lbs. of max torque.) It’s powered by a high-efficiency brushless motor, which offers more power, performance, run time, and longevity than motors based on a brush design. Found in every mechanic’s toolbox, impact wrenches are made primarily for removing lug nuts from vehicle wheels, and this one does so in a lightweight and ergonomic form-factor that will put less strain on your hands than impact wrenches from previous generations. It weighs only 3.31 lbs., and the innovative GripZone micro-texture material on the handle makes it more comfortable to use, even after repeated use. Its professionally-sized 1/2 in. anvil accepts all 1/2 in. sockets, and the friction fit hog ring keeps sockets secure while allowing for fast socket changes in-between applications. While the onboard LED Work Light illuminates dark workspaces, garages, and roadsides so you can see what you’re doing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] —– SUMMARY —–

    Verdict:
Looks can be deceiving, and that is certainly the case with the Worx Nitro Impact Wrench. With how compact and lightweight it is, power is not the first thing that comes to mind, but it sure has plenty. It is not short on features either, like adjustable torque and an LED light that illuminates the workspace. If you are looking for a cordless impact wrench, this one should be at the top of your list.

    Pros:
    – Lightweight and comfortable to hold
    – Cordless with a long-lasting battery
    – Easy to operate
    – LED light helps illuminate the workspace
    – Torque is adjustable (3 speeds)
    – Sockets fit securely on the ½” anvil
    – Powerful brushless motor

    Cons:
    – LED light does not have its own on/off button

    —– DETAILS —–

    Setup & Design:
The Worx Nitro Impact Wrench is ready to go right out of the box. The only assembly step is the optional belt clip (included in the box), which you use a screwdriver to attach. The battery already has some charge in it, but I went ahead and fully charged it before first use. My first impression was very positive. I immediately noticed how lightweight and comfortable to hold it is, and the textured grip is a nice touch. Snapping the battery on and off the impact wrench is simple, and it just slides onto the charger with ease when you need to charge it up. There are indicator lights on the impact wrench itself to show which speed setting it is on, and both the battery and charger have lights as well. At the push of a button, the battery shows how charged it is (low, half, or full), and the charger has a single light that will flash green when charging and change to solid green when it is fully charged. The light on the charger will also flash red for battery temperature protection (when the battery is less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit or more than 113 degrees Fahrenheit), or it will change to solid red if the battery is defective. Hopefully, I never see the red light, but it is nice to have that just in case. There is also an LED light on the base of the impact wrench that illuminates the workspace when you press the trigger, which is handy in low-lighting. However, the one thing I do not like about this impact wrench is that the LED light does not have its own on/off button. When you press the trigger, the LED light will illuminate and stay illuminated for 20 seconds after the trigger is released. Do not get me wrong, this is a nice feature to have in low-light environments, but sometimes I wish the light would stay on longer so that it could serve as a flashlight. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this Worx Nitro Impact Wrench and its thoughtful design features that make it comfortable and easy to operate.

    Features & Performance:
What I like most about the Worx Nitro Impact Wrench is that you do not have to sacrifice power to have cordless convenience. It has more than enough torque for my needs, and the torque is adjustable via the 3-speed selector button. Depending on which speed setting it is on, the ft/lbs will increase or decrease. In reverse, it will only do the highest speed setting. The anvil accepts any ½” socket, and after trying several sockets, I am confident that they fit securely. I appreciate that the sockets are easy to change as well. The brushless motor promises to be efficient, powerful, and long-lasting. So far, I believe that to be true. Whether I am removing vehicle wheels or mower blades or tightening/loosening other bolts or lug nuts, the Worx Nitro Impact Wrench does it with ease. It does not matter if they are rusted either. In my experience, it always gets the job done. The Worx Nitro Impact Wrench has useful features and exceptional performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just finished my first project with this wrench and I must say I’m quite impressed. It charges fairly quickly, has decent battery life and is powerful enough for this size wrenches use and applications. The little light feature is also a real nice handy little touch. So far so good, but the real test will be this weekend weather permitting on a fairly large tear down and demo project. I’m not worried though, I believe this wrench is up to tge task.

  3. ItsmeZ

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tools I use are hammers and different screwdrivers. I have always been intimidated by power tools, this one not so much! It was easy to use. Not too loud that it startled me, and the the battery seems to last awhile.

  4. DBarth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Worx- nitro 20 volt power share 1/2 in cordless impact wrench with brushless motor in the mail and I really love this thing. It is lightweight and compact for a 1/2 impact. It has a battery indicator that shows battery life, has a light that comes on when you pull the trigger for darker area and also has a 3 position power selector so you can have a little torque or max torque. For its size it really is a power house. The brushless motor lets it run quieter and smoother. I haven’t used it to it’s full potential yet but sure it will do just fine. I have been wanting a 1/2 impact and this Worx impact is the bomb. I can also hang it from my belt with the belt clip provided. Also came with charger that charges super fast and a convenient carry bag to store it in. Thanks for an awesome product Worx

  5. Cory1218

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this Nitro 20V 1/2″ Cordless Impact Wrench but was ultimately disappointed. It comes with a belt clip, bag, start guide, battery and charger. It’s relatively lightweight with a textured grip, has 3 speeds and an LED light. It’s worth mentioning the wrench (speed setting), battery and charger all have indicator lights on them. When I put the battery on the charger the indicator light was alternately flashing green and red? After letting the battery sit on the charger for 2+ hours the indicator light changed to solid red which apparently means I have a defective/dead battery.

  6. Rusty85

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this WORX NITRO 1/2 impact gun, and I am amazed at how strong this little gun is. It took the lug nuts off of my truck that I put on with a name brand air impact gun! The manual say it’s rated for about 200ft/lbs! It has a forward and reverse rotation control so you can fine tune how much force you really want to apply. It seems like it holds a charge pretty decently so far. I usually just throw it back on charge when I’m done. Needless to say you can not go wrong with picking one of these up, you won’t be disappointed!

So I called to get replacement batteries fir my liftime rockwell impact wrench and was told rocwell is now worx so they send me a whole new wrench as batteries are no longer avalible well I opened fully drained then fully charged batterie I noticed it did not drive in forward so once full it barley moves if at all in forward the impact control doesn’t work and only power in reverse and even that wouldent pull the nuts off a bicycle this is garbage and I’m wanting full refund on my rockwells

  8. Gooch256

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to loosen lug nuts and learn mower blades. Did the job. Might be better if the 20v 2ah battery was a 4ah. I’m going to get a higher 4a. And see if it works better. I used the low forward setting to tighen the lug nuts, it was almost 80 fp which is required for my vehicle , when I used my torque wrench. It’s small and easy to handle. I am very satisfied with Nitro impact wrench.

  9. Cinderella Ann

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who said every power tool is for a man? This impact is super easy to use and super handy. It is a great weight and the battery charged quickly and maintained a charge through all the projects I asked my husband to do that he didn’t get done. Great impact for all.
