  • [LIGHTWEIGHT BUT POWERFUL] Ergonomic perfection: Tough yet comfortable to use, and long enough to make short work of your hedge trimming duties

  • [SAME BATTERY, EXPANDABLE POWER] The same battery powers over 75+ 20V, 40V, and 80V lifestyle, garden, and power tools in the Power Share family

$88.00

We didn’t cut any corners with the WORX 22” – 20V Cordless Power Share Hedge Trimmer. The D-Grip Front Handle lets you easily hold it up high, or from any angle. And at just 5.3 lbs you won’t get fatigued trimming your bushes. The Dual-Action Hardened Steel Blades slice though twigs and branches so smoothly that it reduces much of the vibration that comes with many hedge trimmers. With a 22” reach you’ll get long, smooth tops and the 3/4” diameter of each blade catches scraggly sticks to the sides. Comes with a charger and a 2.0Ah, 20V Max Lithium Power Share battery you can use to power this or any other WORX 20V Power Share tool.

  • [GRAB N’ GO] The D-grip handle lets you hold it from any angle and cut from any position that’s comfortable. Plus, it gives you the leverage to hoist it up high for the tops of tall hedges, or hold it down low for undergrowth
  • [CUTS TWICE AS NICE] The dual-action blades cut once, then catches that branch again on the way back, just to make sure. For a trim that’s twice as clean, twice as powerful, twice as fast
  • [DESIGNED TO ABSORB VIBRATION] A 0.75 blade gap gets around those branches and rips right through them, while the overmold construction on the grips dissipates all that power so you hardly feel a thing

I have close to 120 yards of hedges that are at least chest high. Cutting them with an electric corded trimmer led to cut cords and many cord repairs. Gas trimmers are to heavy and the exhaust chokes me. I was afraid the WG261 would not have the tork to do the job. But excellent engineering and well manufactured cutters overcame my concerns, it cuts great! I would rate this 4 1/2 stars due to two issues– taking almost 3 hours to charge the battery is just to long, and not being able to cut one handed when the hedge is wide and against the house is a disadvantage to me ( yes I know the safty issues). Yes, I would purchase it again.

I recently purchased this tool. I trim a few bushes at our church. It is much easier to throw this tool in my car and quickly trim the bushed without having to drag a cord, open the building to connect the cord, and trim with the cord attached. It is easy to trim the bushes at home too without having the cord attached. It is a little awkward to hold the top handle and the lower switch to keep it running but well worth a little awkwardness for the ease of use. It is lightweight too. I did find it did not cut as sharply after a few bushes. I will need to see if it is due to a lower battery charge. Perhaps I will try these bushes again on a full charge.

I purchased this trimmer and I am delighted with the item. It is lighter weight than other hedge trimmers I have had, the controls are easy to operate, and the blade cuts in both directions. This is imporatnt to me because I am old, partially disabled and left handed. The WORX is relatively light weight, the controls can be easily operated by a lefty with partial use of his hands. I was delighted to find that the front handle safety switch can be activated from any position on the handle. Plus, the double edged blade makes it easy to trim in any direction. So I was happy to add this tool to my other WORX tool collection.

I purchased the 22 inch hedge trimmer about 4 months ago and I am extremely pleased with this tool. I have approximately 25 azaleas in my back yard and I have 2 20v power share batteries and a single battery charger and actually only had to use just 1 20v battery to trim all 25 azaleas and still had power left over. I have several worx tools the string trimmer, blower and my wife really enjoys using these tools as they are very light for her to handle. These worx tools are very durable and I have never had any problem with any of these tools breaking. By far the best quality yard tools I have ever purchased !!

This is the second trimmer I have purchased from WORX. I am a 77 year old woman whose husband has dementia, so I have to do all the yard work. We have a large yard and many shrubs to keep trimmed. I would not be able to do all the yard work I have to do without my WORX tools that use the same batteries. I have loved my WORX tools.

I bought this for myself for Christmas and it showed up a week later. My generic gas powered trimmer was heavy and caused me to lean and try to hold it up and cut, this caused back and leg strains. I charged it up and could not wait to try it out. My yard was a mess and I went to work. My neighbor told me it would take me weeks to get it under control. This trimmer went through the very large ornamental grasses like butter with no strain on my part. I trimmed bushes like a pro, I went to the Rose of Sharon trees and took them down to a 4 ft height. Lithrope was no match for my new blade. I went to the fences and took down the wild raspberry plants and wild grapevines, kiwi and butterfly bushes that were encroaching on the property. Many other plants were dried and hanging out in the flower beds and my trimmer definitely showed them who was the boss. I would reccomend this trimmer to anyone looking for Lightweight Dynamite. I am very pleased, and can’t wait for spring so I can use it on the Rose bushes.

I purchased this originally to trim back berry vines outside my property line where the electric hedge trimmer would not reach. I used it on the shrubs by the house and wow, trimmed all seven in half the time it would have taken me with the electric trimmer. In addition, when either power controls is released, the chain stops. The electric hedge trimmer keeps running for a short time. This safety feature alone is worth the cost. I rated performance of the product a 4 vs. 5 only because the blade did hang up a couple of times, most likely due to the size of the branch.

Thought I would get a new hedge trimmer since my original one from 2009 is on it’s last leg. The new unit
runs fine, but I am very disappointed that the new unit
has a cheap flimsy plastic cover for the blades (which was torn right out of the box) It hangs on the blades when you try to put it on and the snaps are in a very awkward spot to snap closed or open- found it easier to snap closed if you put it on upside down. Not the quality I have come to expect and appreciate from Worx products. My 2009 hedger came with a hard cover that protected the blades when you put it in the car or truck and traveled to different jobs. Unfortunately it is too narrow to fit the new hedger. The 2009 also came with a wall mount…

Have not used yet but if it is like the other tools I will be happy. Did come with a broken piece but have not had a chance to call about it

I already have a hedge trimmer but it is electric and I need to use an extension cord. I decided to treat myself and purchase a hedge trimmer which is battery operated so I don’t have to lug the cord from outlet to outlet around the outside of my home. Each Fall I trim all the shrubs and bushes in my yard. I used my Worx hedge trimmer the other day and I realized I was able to get through that job in half the time because I no longer had to use the extension cord. My time is valuable to me. Plus, this tool is so much lighter than my electric one. Thanks, Worx!

For years I’ve lugged an extension cord for my hedge trimmer. No more. The WORX cordless hedge trimmer has all the power of a plug-in but no cord. It has features like a safety switch to shut off the power if your hand should come off the front bar handle, it’s light weight even with the battery, and speaking of the battery, it lasts a long time. I can go from My WORX multi-function string trimmer to my WORX hedge trimmer without recharging. This Power Share feature is perfect. I’m sorry I waited so long to get these tools, but they were worth the wait.

Bought this a few weeks ago and finally got to use it this weekend. The hedge trimmer has good power, making quick work of my bushes, with more power and better cutting performance than many electric trimmers I’ve owned over the years. Took a little getting used to the power switch/safety switch configuration, as none of the electric ones I’ve owned had this feature, which make one-handed operation impossible. Not a big issue, but one you might want to be aware of. Its balance felt good, although I used it with the 20V 4.0ah battery from my WORX string trimmer, rather than the 20V 2.0ah battery that came with it, so it might handle differently with the smaller, lighter battery. Overall, I’m very pleased, and wholeheartedly recommend the WG261.

I had been using a couple cheap brands of hedge trimmer’s that were electric over the years . It seems I would cut through the cords numerous times as I was trying to trim the hedges. Lucky for me my wife ordered me the works 20 V power share 22 inch hedge trimmer and I love it !!!! This has made my life a lot easier. No hassles with cords and the battery that’s charged is more than sufficient to do my task at home! Hopefully I will get another piece of your equipment in the future. You are the best !! Thanks to the Worx family

I just received my hedge trimmer several days ago, and I like it very much. I was so disappointed this morning, though, when I attempted to use one of my Worx 20V batteries on this trimmer, and it didn’t fit. I tried another. No luck there, either. Thank goodness I ordered a battery with the trimmer, but I need to be able to use my other batteries with it, also. So disappointed in that. I still highly recommend the hedge trimmer, just be aware that your other 20V batteries will not fit.

Brought this and for the money very happy with the quality, super quite, battery has a good amount of working time, with that said I’m going to buy a 2 nd battery just to have on hand. My property has 12 shrubs, boxwoods, barberry’s so not a very thick shrub all about 3’ high by 2-3’ long this trimmer cuts thru them like butter.

Only con is, the blade of machine comes with a light thin plastic sleeve, not a hard shell cover sleeve but at this price point understand why.

  22. Hedge hog

Very light weight and easy to use. Gets the job done!

I like the safety figures, you have to operate it with two (2) hands. 2 separate triggers. Light weight. Took care of my front hedges in 10 minutes. We will see what it can do on my big shrub, that’s about ten feet tall.
The share battery works with my trimmer WG156.
The WG261 is too new to register on-line. That’s the way I prefer to register my products. The on-line write up, ‘it comes with’ is wrong. It states it comes with two (2) batteries, it only comes with one. I was expecting 2 batteries. I even answered someones question on the product about the 2 batteries. The manual attached to the website is also the wrong manual. The write up definitely needs to be corrected. The two batteries is one of the reasons why I purchased it.
I am a Worx customer. I have been using Worx since 2006. I believe this is my 5th product.

After reading reviews, and the manufacturer’s description of tool performance, I highly doubted that a 20v battery operated hedge trimmer was capable of all the claims made. I was wrong. Every specified capability was met or exceeded, battery life, trimmer blade cutting power, lightweight, and not loud at all. I have 3 species of bushes, 2 being evergreen, and all 3 where overgrown by a month or so. The WORX trimmer made my job easier and more beautiful than ever thanks to the lack of physical application in order to trim everything. That being accredited to the lightweight, and great cutting ability of the tool. Again, thanks to the tools simplicity, instead of struggling, I was able to shape and trim my bushes without the stress of fighting heavy corded trimmers, that dont cut nearly as well. Great job on this particular tool.

My original order got ‘lost’ by the delivery service. I called Customer Service and they helped me place the order again. It has plenty of power and is light to use. One item was missing when I assembled the trimmer, but I found a workaround. I did not want to go the Customer Service route again with this issue…. The battery charges quickly and seems to have plenty of lasting power. I like the trimer. It cuts everything I have used it for.
