The Worx 20V Grass Trimmer/Edger is the easy-to-use, no fuss string trimmer that offers the ultimate in both convenience and functionality. It switches from a trimmer to an edger in just seconds, which saves you from buying a 2nd tool. It’s cordless, so you won’t get snagged on bushes and trees as you work around the yard. It’s cleaner and more cost-effective than gas-powered trimmers. Yet it provides more than enough power to give your lawn clean lines and straight edges. This tool comes with one 20V 1.5 Ah MaxLithium battery and a charger. That’s the very same battery that powers our chainsaws, even our lawnmowers. A 10” cutting diameter is wide enough to trim larger patches, but narrow enough to dart around garden edges and other landscaping features. The 10’ spool that comes in this kit is wound with 0.065” diameter DoubleHelix DNA Line2. That’s not your average trimmer string. This patented oval-shaped design is aerodynamically engineered to reduce drag and slice through grass, and it features a tensile strength of over 100 lbs., so it resists snapping. This robust, user-friendly 2-in-1 will let you get more done in less time. And its lightweight, ergonomic design means almost anyone can take it out and help with the yard work.

I bought this weed eater a month ago, and use it at least once a week. I have two batteries and as long as I keep them both charged I can easily weed eat for over an hour, or two. It is lightweight which makes it easy for my wife to use. The adjustments in length are a nice feature so someone shorter than me can easily use is as well. With just two turns of knob it easily converts into an edger. My only complaint is that the assembly instructions could have been a little better. Maybe they can make a short video and put on their website to make the Assembly instructions clearer. My wife and I both love this one and would highly recommend it.

I LOVE my Worx cordless string trimmer and edger! It is easy to use and I am very pleased how long it will cut using a 20V battery. We have 300 feet of a deep ditch in front of our farm and I use my Worx 20V trimmer to cut it. I was surprised this little trimmer would cut the tough grass that grows in a ditch. I was tired of our gas trimmer not starting or having a hard time to start it, so, my family bought this battery trimmer for me as a gift. I am an older woman and this lighter weight trimmer is perfect for me. I also think it is wonderful that Worx will send you the replacement string cartridges free (you only have to pay the postage).

I bought this over a month ago because my Home Depot stringer/weed wacker was a pain to reload the string. The Worx stringer has the automatic button which I like, but it stopped working after about the third or fourth time I used it. I know have to pull on the string with my hand to get the string to come out. Also one of the orange plastic pieces at the bottom keeps falling off now as I use it. It snaps back on, but should be be falling off (see pic). It does not cut through crabgrass easily. The ads make it look so much easier because the turf is in great condition and if it’s not then you need to go back over a few times. I do like the battery system that it uses. I would give it 2.5 stars based on the price vs. quality of the product.

I bought this 3 yrs ago to start helping neighbors get lawns looking better and earn a few bucks. I have grown because of the use of my cordless 20 Volt weed Trimmer from WORX . other than purchasing more batteries to keep up with the multiple yards I am taking care of. What I like is that it does tear up the skirting of the homes I take care of, unlike every other weed trimmer others have used around here. customers appreciate it as well. I can trim around 5-7 homes on average depending on amount needed to be done. I have not had any problems what so ever. I have been confident with WORX other products like the 3 in 1 blower leaf vacuum and wireless blower.

With the rising price of gasoline I retired my gas trimmer and hated being tied to the umbilical cord, so I cut the cord with this great cordless trimmer. Makes edging and getting into those tight spaces easy work. Versatile trimmer that you can set at different angles and lightweight so you won’t get tired if you have a huge lawn. Did I mention, low maintenance as well. My lawn looks as good or even better than the landscapers that I used to employ. A money saver all around for me. Makes lawn work enjoyable for an old dog like me. Again, how did I ever live without one of these. Keep up the great work Worx!

I have gone through many electric trimmers over the years and after buying the Worx Jawsaw and seeing how great of product that was. I thought I would try the cordless trimmer. First I cannot believe how light it is. Thinking something this light is not going to work very well. I was total mistaken this trimmer not only is lighter and stronger than any electric trimmer I have had in the past but with all the other great features I would say this is my favorite yard tool. I’m planning on buy the Work Yardcart next. I will say that with the 2 items I have purchased that Worx has earned my respect

I bought these as a package several years ago and they are still going strong! My husband has shoulder problems so I do the weed eating. The gas ones were too heavy for me so we got these. I can’t brag on them enough – especially the weed eater! The length of the reach is adjustable and I love that feature. I always tell my friends if they need one, that this is what they want. I have 2 batteries and the charge on them is more than enough to trim around my trees, house and along long driveway. We live on 3 1/2 acres so there is a bit of trimming I do. Thanks for making such a great product!

I was excited to try this unit out once I saw the last portion of the infomercial. I hesitated to call, at first, but felt much better open receiving it and opening the package. It is much easier to use than I expected and it is so much lighter than my old gas one. It has made my trimming quick and easy. Much less back ache due to less weight and lighter to carry around. I can even do some areas with one hand, which was not possible at all with my previous gas trimmer. Thanks for making my yard work so much easier. I am considering buying the blower when my electric one gives up.

I have had this now for two season, it replaced a corded model from a different company. You know those corded ones, where it is a rule of physics that if there is anything to catch on, it will. Anyway, this has been the least troublesome trimmer I have ever owned. It works effortlessly. What I enjoy the most is that the battery seemingly goes on forever. I mean, I know it doesn’t; but I had left the battery in over the winter in an unheated garage, so when I went to use it in the spring, I was sure the battery would have discharged. It hadn’t and now three months into the season and regular use, I have yet to need to charge it. Is this not great?! Seriously, I can’t recommend this highly enough, you can’t go wrong

I have always hated weed eating. I had always tried using my husband’s gigantic Stihl eater. So heavy. So big.
I researched the best weed eaters on Google and the Worx came up. I watched video and thought I’d give it a try.
Wow! Was I ever surprised and excited! It is perfect! I don’t have to ask for help. The string comes out with a button push it is very powerful. Battery lasts a very long time. An hour or more. Couldn’t be happier with my new power tool!
Family thinks I’m nuts, but enjoy weed eating now.
Who’d have thought I’d be a power girl! Ha!

I bought one of these three years ago. I have owned gas trimmers at least three different brands. I have owned 115 volt plugin trimmers, and I would try to use them the line would break, break and break!!!! I would get mad and say that I hate WEED EATERS and that they are nothing but JUNK. THEN I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE AND I LOVE IT!!!!! Thank you for inventing the BEST weed eater ever made. I don’t say very much but I can’t say enough about your product. As far as winning anything I could be one of two entering and I still would lose. Again thank you .

Before my husband passed away he ordered this for me because it was lightweight and easy for me to use. I have used this for 3 years and love it. It’s a great weed eater and very easy to use. It’s easy to change the line reels too. Since I have no trouble doing this anyone else can too. My yard looks so nice after the trimming is done. Love that it’s battery operated so I don’t have to worry with gas & oil. But the best part is that it’s not so heavy and I can finish my yard before tiring out. Thank you for creating a tool for women!

  13. Yard of the month entry

I have had my trimmer and edger for several years. I needed something that was lightweight yet would give my yard a professional look. However, my friends like mine so much they borrow it. They have electric ones that are cumbersome due to the extension cords that become disconnected or are not long enough and they have to put several cords together. And some went with gas powdered that are just too heavy to use as we age.
I am thinking I might donate mine to a friend and purchase a new one for myself.

  14. Anette

I purchased this a couple of years ago so I could help my husband with the yard. Other weedeater were too heavy and the plug in was awkward. The maintenance and service from this company is wonderful. They are quick on delivery and the free string for life is one of the best features they offer. I also purchased extra batteries so when one is done I can still weedeat. I have already had a number of friends who purchased it for the same reasons I did. I would highly recommend this for anyone.

A pain to work with. The string doesn’t cut and is constantly getting tangled. When it works properly, it goes through spools like nobody’s business. I only have a very small strip of grass in front of a town home and go through a spool every few weeks. Cheaply constructed. I got it on the recommendation from a neighbor, and I liked that it had a wheel to help with trimming, but the wheel is such a pain to add and remove that it isn’t worth the trouble. I regret buying this piece of junk.

I bought this to replace the same trimmer I bought last year, after the 18volt battery it came with died. I see the new trimmer has a 20 volt battery and a better locking mechanism for the shaft part of the handle. (My old one would never stay together.) So I am happy with the improvements in the new model, which cost me less than it would have cost to replace the battery on my old one. I always thought that the motor and the trimmer itself we’re perfect for a small to medium size yard.
